Peter Smith is zealous about one thing above all else: his clients. Pete takes the time to get to know each one of them and learn how he can best support their needs and more importantly, how to obtain the best result possible for them. Whether it’s in family court, criminal court, or document drafting, everything Pete does is hand-tailored to each individual and achieving the best result.
Pete primarily focuses on criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, Intellectual Property (trademarks), and corporate formations (Operating and Partnership Agreements, Contracts, Equity Grants, etc.). For his clients, he is currently taking on Fortune 500 companies, scofflaw marital partners and fighting for justice for those who have been falsely arrested and maliciously prosecuted.
Pete holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and History from Franklin & Marshall College and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
Pete is admitted to practice law in all State Courts in the State of New York and is in the process of obtaining admission to the United States District Courts in both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel to Kenneth E. Belkin, Esq., he worked with startups, both large and small, on legal matters, business development, and marketing.
In his free time, Pete enjoys surfing and boring history podcasts, which he will discuss with you ad nauseum if you allow him to.
